Edge of Detection
Description
- Edge of Detection is a 2D stealth platformer.
- You have a disguise that you can use to ‘fit in’ and prevent being detected by enemies, but it only lasts a few seconds and takes time to put on.
- This creates a gameplay dynamic where you are quickly moving while in the enemy’s line of sight (shown to you visually) and then hiding in tiny ‘blind spots’ to re-apply your disguise.
- The fact that these blind spots are small and often temporary aims to create a tense gameplay experience, but also a satisfying sense of reward when the player manages to execute their plan.
